近年来，随着星球大战：银河边缘、玩具总动员乐园、米奇米妮的逃跑铁路和闪电麦昆的赛车学院的加入，主题公园的知名度急剧上升。
2016年，迪士尼的跨洋官司打到了中国。国产动画《汽车人总动员》涉嫌抄袭迪士尼旗下皮克斯动画工作室创作的《赛车总动员》。迪士尼和皮克斯联手起诉国内三家公司，请求赔偿损失人民币300万元，合理费用100万元。次年，上海浦东新区人民法院判决：迪士尼胜诉，获赔135万元人民币。
在赛车总动员的赛场上，延安初级中学七年级5班学生罗欣源参加了赛车总动员四驱车、风动车、橡筋车的比赛活动，虽然是第一次参加这样的科技活动，但她表示，“这就像一次科技大聚会，给我带来了乐趣，也是一次很好的锻炼机会。”
产品类似，卖点也差不多。妙可蓝多联合“汪汪队”推出卡通包装，百吉福则拉上“哆啦A梦”，妙飞联合“超级飞侠”，伊利也与冰雪奇缘、赛车总动员及三丽鸥旗下玉桂狗、大耳狗等IP协作。
